When she joined Grambling State University in 2015 with dreams of becoming a lawyer, she never foresaw the monumental achievements that awaited her on the basketball court. Hill initially viewed her participation in basketball as a means to fund her education rather than a path to athletic glory.

Despite her original intentions, Hill made history by becoming the only player in NCAA Division I history to record two quadruple-doubles. Her first monumental performance came during her junior year on January 3, 2018, when she scored 15 points, recorded 10 assists, grabbed 10 rebounds, and stole the ball 10 times in a game against Alabama State. This achievement did not just earn her accolades; it captured the attention of notable NBA players, including LeBron James and Chris Paul.

“When she started coming in the gym with me and coach Pierre, it showed improvement in her game,” said Isayra Diaz, her assistant coach. “She started falling in love with the whole Breakfast Club.”

After an impressive college career, where she scored over 2,052 points and earned numerous accolades, including being a first-team All-SWAC performer, Hill faced the harsh reality of the WNBA draft where she went undrafted in 2019. Despite strong performances, including an average of 18.9 points, her transition to professional basketball was challenged by the lack of representation for HBCU athletes in the league.

Undeterred, Hill pursued opportunities overseas, illuminating her capabilities once more with another quadruple-double in Serbia. This achievement was celebrated by fans and teammates alike, solidifying her status as a player of considerable talent in the international arena.

Transitioning to Law

As she approaches a new chapter in her life at the age of 28, Hill plans to commence law school in August. With a keen interest in corporate law, she contemplates various institutions, including Southern, Howard, and Texas Southern universities. “I can see her as a lawyer because she likes to debate and she likes to talk,” noted David Pierre Jr., her former coach. “She’s passionate. She lights up a room.”
