But the post quickly took a playful turn when Nedoroscik shared another update, revealing that their beloved cat, Kyushu, was making the trip with them too. “Don’t worry Kyushu made it too,” Nedoroscik wrote, alongside a relaxed image of his feline friend resting in a travel carrier. McCracken, joining in on the fun, added in her own Instagram Story, “Kyushu is also going to be a California Girl; he just doesn’t know it yet.” The couple confirmed their arrival in California the following day with a picturesque view from their hotel.
A Fresh Start on ‘Dancing With the Stars’
Nedoroscik, who soared to Olympic fame earlier this year, was the first celebrity announced for Dancing With the Stars season 33. Just days before the big move to California, he appeared on Good Morning America on August 22, where he enthusiastically shared his plans for incorporating his gymnastics background into his dancing routines. “I’m hoping to bring some of [my pommel horse moves],” he said, excited about the possibility of performing flares and even a backflip or handstand. “I want to have fun with it,” he added, demonstrating his eagerness to bring his athleticism and creative flair to the ballroom.
The gymnast also gave fans a hint at what to expect when it comes to his signature style. When asked whether he’d wear his trademark glasses while performing, Nedoroscik teased, “I might have fun with it. I’m scared they’ll fly off because of the thing, but maybe we can do a gadget to keep them on. Maybe a new pair of glasses to match the theme.”
