The Celebration Continues in Las Vegas
The Kansas City Chiefs’ victory at Super Bowl LVII might have happened on February 12, but the celebration for Travis Kelce and his teammates is still going strong. On February 24, Kelce was spotted in Las Vegas, still reveling in the championship win. The star tight end, accompanied by teammates such as Patrick Mahomes, JuJu Smith-Schuster, and more, brought the victory party to XS Nightclub at the Wynn Las Vegas, taking the celebrations to new heights.
A VIP Experience Like No Other
The night was nothing short of spectacular. Kelce and his crew enjoyed a VIP experience that was fit for champions. The venue was decked out with a six-tiered football-themed cake, confetti in the Chiefs’ red and gold colors, and an LED drumline that added an electric vibe to the event. As if that wasn’t enough, The Chainsmokers delivered a special performance, turning the night into an unforgettable party for all in attendance.
Champagne Showers and Don Julio 1942
The highlight of the evening came when Kelce was handed a large bottle of Armand de Brignac Ace of Spades Gold Brut Champagne. As the anthem “We Are the Champions” by Queen played, Kelce didn’t hesitate to shower his fellow partygoers with champagne. Though most of the bubbly ended up on him, the Kansas City tight end seemed to thoroughly enjoy the moment, completely unfazed by the soaking.
After the champagne fun, Kelce switched gears and grabbed a bottle of Don Julio 1942 tequila, following the example set by his quarterback, Patrick Mahomes. The wild celebration continued until around 3:30 AM, proving once again that Kelce is the life of the party.
What’s Next for Travis?
With the Super Bowl victory party winding down, Kelce isn’t slowing his roll. He’s preparing for an entirely new challenge: hosting Saturday Night Live (SNL) on March 3. Kelce revealed this exciting news during a February 16 appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “Growing up, I was a huge fan of [Chris] Farley, [Will] Ferrell, Fallon… I used to watch SNL with my mom, so it’s an honor and privilege to be hosting,” Kelce shared.
Fallon, who is also an SNL alum, was quick to offer encouragement. “You are going to be so good. I was talking to Lorne [Michaels] today and I’m like, ‘He’s so charming, he can sing, and he’s fun.’” Kelce’s ability to entertain during the Super Bowl celebrations has already shown that he’s got the charisma and charm to shine on stage, so his upcoming hosting debut is highly anticipated.
NFL Star to SNL Host
Kelce will be only the third NFL player to host SNL in the last 15 years. The last football player to take the stage was J.J. Watt in February 2020, following Eli Manning’s appearance in May 2012. Other football legends who have hosted the iconic show include Tom Brady and Peyton Manning, establishing a trend of athletes bringing their larger-than-life personalities to the comedy world. Kelce’s SNL hosting gig marks another exciting chapter in his career.
The Party’s Far From Over
It’s clear that Travis Kelce’s Super Bowl victory is just the beginning of an exciting year. With his charisma and talent taking him from the football field to the comedy stage, it’s safe to say this victory party is far from over. Keep an eye on Kelce’s upcoming SNL appearance—this is just one more chapter in a thrilling new adventure.
