His relationships throughout the Amazon introduced Tahogreen Eco Guardians to local leaders, families, and conservation challenges that cannot be understood from a distance. Together with his partner, Donel, these relationships helped establish a network built on trust, respect, and shared responsibility.

Tahogreen Eco Guardians has developed a ten year strategy based on a simple principle. Grassroots movements create lasting impact when they grow steadily through local leadership and consistent action.
The organization’s vision includes supporting the planting of one million trees by 2035. However, this goal represents much more than a numerical target. It reflects a broader commitment to rebuilding ecosystems through careful planning, scientific collaboration, Indigenous leadership, and community ownership.
Over the next decade, the strategy focuses on expanding native tree nurseries, strengthening restoration partnerships, supporting local education, increasing biodiversity, and creating restoration models that communities can sustain long after individual planting events have ended.
The organization believes meaningful environmental recovery cannot be rushed. Forests require patience, commitment, and people willing to care for them year after year.
Building A Global Network Around Local Action
Although rooted in Washington State, Tahogreen Eco Guardians has attracted support from individuals and organizations across Brazil, Peru, Canada, India, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States. This growing network reflects a shared understanding that protecting forests is a global responsibility, but successful restoration must always begin with local communities.
Through its Green Guardians platform, the organization continues bringing together scientists, volunteers, businesses, conservation professionals, and community leaders who share a common goal of restoring landscapes while preserving the cultural knowledge that has protected these ecosystems for generations.
